Moonage Daydream

I'm an alligator, I'm a mama-papa coming for you
I'm the space invader, I'll be a rock 'n' rollin' bitch for you
Keep your mouth shut,
you're squawking like a pink monkey bird
And I'm busting up my brains for the words

Keep your 'lectric eye on me babe
Put your ray gun to my head
Press your space face close to mine, love

Freak out in a moonage daydream oh yeah!

Don't fake it baby, lay the real thing on me
The church of man, love
Is such a holy place to be
Make me baby, make me know you really care

Make me jump into the air

Keep your 'lectric eye on me babe
Put your ray gun to my head
Press your space face close to mine, love
Freak out in a moonage daydream oh yeah!

Freak out, far out, in out

Ziggy Stardust

Nothing says space-age style like a foiled metallic silver nail polish! This one from Sally Hansen called "Celeb City" is my favourite because it's an easy two-coater, it's a true silver (rather than showing hints of purples or blues like many metallics I've seen lately), and it doesn't chip after the first day.

Loving the Alien

David Bowie never really goes out of style, but I predict a resurgance in the space-age style that he made oh so popular in the next little while. Metallics have been making a comeback in the last year through accessories (C3PO-esque platform sneakers from To Be Announced, ornate facial jewelry from Givenchy, and futuristic suits from Alexander McQueen) but I think it's about time we don our moonboots again and take this trend to the next level. The best thing about this look is that the shoes are inevitably comfortable and practical!
